We're pleased to release the first B wine by consulting winemaker, Hugh Chappelle. This French-style Rosé is handcrafted from 100% estate grown organic pinot noir grapes. We create this fine wine for pinot noir lovers who occasionally desire a lightly chilled glass, an elegant aperitif, without betraying the sensual Pinot Noir grape.
Crisp, dry, with balanced acidity, aromas of melon, subtle tickles of sensual red fruits, strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb with provocative hints of minerals and baking spice make this dry sophisticated Rose’ perfect foreplay for passionate Pinot lovers.
Select whole cluster Pinot Noir grapes are hand picked for this classic European style fine Rosé. We reserve a few select rows in the 777 dijon clone block, a small micro-climate of the vineyard bordering the Northern end of the lake, where the morning fog is last to lift, and the grapes take their time to ripen. This cold block maintains low sugars even as the grape clusters reach their full maturity manifesting complexity and character. The riparian mists, long warm days followed by cool bucolic Green Valley evenings challenge the fruit and it seemingly breathes in the chill of the nighttime air, retaining it for for this crisp, vibrant wine.
